seat ideas?

I have been building another frame with 1 7/8 DRE fittings, pipe, and oar towers. I'm wondering what my options are with the seat. The AAA, DRE, Clavey, seats look great, however I wonder if there are any other options I should explore. I already have a lowback and highback on my other frame. Does drilling holes and mounting a seat into T6016 Al cause problems? Shouldn't I be "jacked up high" with these towers? I'm a tall dude and I need the leg room.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Much thanks,

Hollaender HD Wall Flange

I purchased a speed rail heavy duty wall flange, attached an aluminum plate and drilled holes to fit my low back seat. Seems to work well and was fairly inexpensive.

I'm experimenting with a AAA flip seat bracket on my Cat. Works great so far over my dry box. I'm a gal with shorter legs though, plus I didn't want to be up too high. I have seen people post here on Mountain Buzz that they didn't like the really tall DRE type seats because they raised their center of gravity too much and made them feel "tippy."
Kazak 4X4 has some good pictures of his frame with the AAA flip seat bracket. Do a search to find them. I would suggest talking to Mark & Judy at AAA about your seat ideas. They can make a lot of stuff and give you some good info.

The aluminum plate and drilled holes surely works and it makes a boat more comfortable and less heavier so it will help to move faster.
