Sawyer Tip Protector

I have recently purchased some new Sawyer's and also got the vinyl tip protectors..... Looking for some thoughts on them relating to the water being trapped underneath and if anyone has any tricks getting them on easily..

I had protector tips on a set of wooden Sawyers for years and never had an issue with water under the sleeves.
As for the installation, just heat them up in a pan of hot water and they will soften up and will slip easily on to the end of the oar blade

Thanks. I should have just gone with my instinct. I had read not to heat but.. They slid on easy peasy.
