S6X compaired to S6

I have a friend trying to decide on buying my S6 or looking for an S6X. I suggested the a S6 or the S6F not the S6X. Any one have any non bais suggestions?

You have it right completely. S6 is good, S6X is bad, S6F is ideal. It's not so much of a design issue as it is components issue.

The S6 would be a much better first time play boat it's wider and more stable down river then the S6F.

Personally, I think the Sub 6X had a serious design flaw as a lot of boats from that generation did. Too much rocker! The thing is slower than an offensive tackle. Notice the Sub 6F had a flat hull and rocker in each end. The flat hull keeps speed. The Sub 6 is still a really solid boat. I loved the Sub 7 (different than the Seven-O). It was only out for a year but did everything well............
