The
RMR original design was created for the 2005 season and has been slightly modified for 2006 production to create the
RMR RapidBash. The flat-bottom design provides the ultimate in rider stability. Great for any rider novice to expert!
Rocky Mountain Riverboards are shaped by hand in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and made for an extreme whitewater ride. Made of Ultra-high density & buoyancy polyethylene foam, the boards are soft on the rider and tough enough to handle anything the river can dish out. The boards design melds the best features of foam and plastic boards for total rider comfort, performance, and durability.
The bottom (Rock-Shield) is constructed of a single sheet of almost indestructible plastic (twice as thick as a kayak shell) for protection against the sharpest of jagged boulders, and the handles are made of ultra-strong nylon for long-lasting durability and high tensile strength. The top of the board has a grooved channel for rider comfort while still protecting below the waist, and there are also elbow indents to provide ergonomic stability. The RMR RapidBash is one of the bigger boards on the market at 54", and it weighs in at around 18lbs. The size of the RapidBash RiverBoard is essential to adequately cover a rider in lazy or extreme conditions. Standard boards are black foam with white plastic and either red or blue handles.
Rocky Mountain Riverboards can customize its boards to length, foam grooves, and color of handles (contact us for details).
