Riot magnum 80

I found a really good deal on a new riot magnum 80 but I don't know anything about this boat. I'm pretty new to paddling and have only been doing it about a year and don't know anything about this boat so I was hoping someone might have some idea about if this boat is any good or not. I'm 5'8" 180 lbs

I have one and love it. Very fun to paddle, big enough in the stern to do a two week self-support, and has volume without feeling like a barge. The outfitting is not as great as most newer creek boats and the plastic isn't quite as sturdy as other brands.

It has great primary stability and its edges + volume allow it to lock on to a line and not get pushed around, which tends to make it overall a pretty easy boat to paddle.

for 670 + dividend it's a great deal - probably what I would do if I needed a new boat.

Steve Fisher was dropping waterfalls in it so I would imagine it will take any abuse that you will give.😄 It has good lines and enough volume for your weight.

Until I recently got a Shiva, the Magnum was my favorite creekboat, and perhaps more fun and sporty than the Shiva. It's a good deal and I agree with Kevin and would get one if looking for a new creeker.
