The older xytec plastic was sometimes prone to breakage. It really just depended on whether they were having a good day with them or not. If they were it was the best plastic out there, if not it was weak. Mainly the boats with the thigh strap outfitting had xytec, such as the early to mid production Boosters, Air 45s and 55s, and some Snipers. I don't think they have used xtec since 2003. Now they use linear plastic like everybody else in north america. I recently had a demo quality Nitro and it held up as well as most anything besides a HTTP boat would. Eskimo and Prijon have the best plastic, and I've heard good thisngs about Liquid Logic.
