I have personally replaced dozens of gaskets when I had a shop. I think this is a simple procedure. 1st. no mandrel is involved with the neck. 2nd get everything flat. 3rd use contact cement or better use OS's pb-300. apply to both the new gasket and the old gasket material. let it dry completely. adjust the new gasket where you want it without any wrinkles. add heat with heat gun. roll out any unwanted wrinkles.
