Remove Float bags in Aire Force (old)

Has anyone ever removed the float bags from a pre 2010 Aire Force or XL? Looks like you would need to take the valves off and then the urethane bags would just slide out...Has anyone ever done this for any reason? Am I missing something? I was thinking of removing the rear float bag, putting in a cheetah seat, so I could throw a small drybag in the "hold" for a longer day trip, could even use the gray float bag adjuster to hold the drybag in place. Though this might be better than strapping a drybag on the top with the D-rings. ....anyone ever do this?
