quick question

I'm planning on getting the kokatat hydrus dry bibs so that I can use them for some fall/winter boating. Since they don't come with the socks with them I am going to also get some nrs latex socks and some aqua seal to put them on so that my feet won't get too cold while paddling(hoping to do shoshone on new years this year). How much aqua seal do you need to replace gaskets/upgrade them to socks. NRS only has a 3/4 oz or an 8 oz option. Thanks!

I swam a couple years ago on the royal gorge in late December. There was a few inches of slush on top of the water and I was wearing the bibs without socks.
Two things...
One; I did not notice my feet being cold
Two; the bibs probably saved my life that day. The bibs were an after thought, I have never even rolled on that run. But got lackadaisical and flipped hit a rock and fell half outta my boat. At the take out I thanked my buddy for the use of his bids and added "they were a life saver" we all laughed because it was true.

Glad to see that the bibs worked out for you! Wish I could get a drysuit, but they are just too expensive to me, so the bibs seem like the best idea for me. I would like to have the socks on them just because it would make it warmer and that there wouldn't be the struggle of getting those ankle gaskets on! Maybe I will order the bibs and the socks separately in order to see if they are necessary.

Order the bibs with the socks

Save yourself the hassle and order the bibs with the socks.
