Hard to beat the Pure XL's 5 year warranty.

Really you need to at least sit in them. I'm 5'11 165lbs and paddled the Gus and the Grande. When I tried the Villan S I couldn't fit my size 10 Five-Ten Canyoneers inside and the boat was on the small side for multi-days. Ended up getting a regular Villan and the thing is huge! I had 3" foam + the hip pads and still couldn't get snug. I also loaned the boat to two other buddies who Paddle Nomad 8.5's or Grande's and are bigger than me, both had similar impressions.

So for some, this is probably great, for me its way, way too big compared to a Grande and they needed a middle size for the boat to work for me personally. The Pure XL is much closer to the Grande in the cockpit, but with a pointer bow that punches holes a little better.

Also, the new LL Stomp is coming out soon which is a Remix/Jefe hybrid I believe.

I hadn't considered the Remix, but I do love LL, they're based about a mile away from my old house in NC. Yes, I will be at the race and I would love to hop in it for a paddle if your gonna be at the race. Also, yes sunshine can get them, but they do not have any for demo (at least not as of Wed), so if i decide to order one, i will go through them. Ill pm you about the RL race.

Everyone else, thanks for the imput, that does help, i know that need to demo both, and if there is anyway i can i will.

Sunshine sports in Billings used to carry Prijon,do they not anymore??

I've paddled the Villain and it is nice- its a copy of the habitat in my opinion, (with worse outfitting).

If you used to paddle a Gus you should try a Remix 79, awesome boat with the best outfitting there is. If you will be at the Red Lodge slalom race this weekend, I will have one
