Problems with our EZGs.

I wanted to see if anyone else was having the same problem with their EZG as me and two friends are having. Out of three EZG's, all have cracks on the cone by the thigh braces. We just noticed this and it is the same on all three. We have two cracks/holes developing on the outside rim of the cockpit where the thigh braces connect on both sides of the boat. What is causing this has yet to be determined, but we have taken pictures of all three of our boats and are in the process of contacting Wavesport. If you would, please let me know if you are experiencing the same problem with your boats.

I have an orange EZG60 that I got from CKS in BV. I have the exact same holes in the boat where the thigh brace is attached. I do not remember the holes when I boat the boat new, and I have only paddled the boat a handful on times on pretty mild water. Some duct tape is keeping me dry now. I contacted CKS and they said that they would help out and that they had a few boats with the same issues. I need to take a digital pic and send it to them. We will see where it goes.

All three of ours are from CKS as well. I wil contact them and let them know that they have more with holes. Good to know we are not alone, sort of.

Mine is OK for now but a friend of mine has cracks in his. They both came from a shop other than CKS and the shop is taking care of it.

Maybe you should look in to buying a Jackson Boat.

CKS is on it. I guess an early batch had this problem. Soon I will have a new boat to put scratches on!

The cracks are on the outside the rim of the pinch areas of the inside of the cockpit.
If your boat doesn't have them yet feel lucky and look to see if you have ANY little dimples in the plastic on the outside of the rim that are in the same place as the pinches on the inside.

Wavesport is VERY aware of this problem and is working on correcting it and doing everything possiable to help the owners of the EZG boats and it is not limited to a size or color of boat several of the boats at Confluence Kayaks show these dimples or have cracked. All have been warrentied by Wavesport.

Mine had a dimple under the rim when I received it, and it sure enough turned into a crack. Contacted BOC yesterday to find out what to do about it.
Have you guys had any problem getting the issue resolved?
