My trailer has a hinged top deck made of pressure treated wood, I have not seen any problem using it with my AIRE cataraft.
However, if I were to to do it over I would look for another material. The pressure treated wood is very heavy and has not held up well in the weather. I used a deck finish (Thompson Waterseal) when I built it and have regularly refinished the wood at least every other season. The wood is now warped, cracked and can produce some nasty splinters. Some big enough to threaten my tubes. Screws don't hold well in the wood after being bounced along dirt roads and I have had to replace all of them with thru bolts backed with nut and washers.
In hind site I wish I had spent the money up front and used something that would be more weather resistant. Maybe one of the synthetic decking products or aluminum planks like these...
