PFD attachments

My PFD is in great condition but it doesn't have a knife attachment patch/clip. I was wondering if anyone knew were you can order just the little square patch so you could sew it on yourself. Thanks

Dont know where you can buy one, but I'd be careful sewing anything onto your vest. because sewing can break the fabric threads it can weaken the overall strength of the vest and (in strict areas) void it from being US coast guard approved. There were some posts a while ago about people being turned away from westwater because they had holes in their pfd. It probably doesnt affect the "tensile strength" of your vest that much but just thought i'd put in my 2cents....

If this is the Turner I know, you have the Sherman right?

Yeah I do have a sherman and they don't have a good place to carry a knife. I don't know too many people with a red beard - must be Evan?

Try taking it to Stichlines in Denver. They fix tent's, backpacks, and ski jackets and pants. They might have knife tabs in stock and will sew it onto your jacket. I have a Sherman PFD and added a knife tab- onto the shoulder strap. Easy fix- no stress on the jacket.
