I am new at kayaking and am curious about what I should do paddle wise because I'm not sure where to start or what size to get I'm kinda small like 5' thanks in advance

im 5' foot as well and i use a werner player 194 with a bent shaft. i love it

5' with small hands? Check their small shaft paddles also.

You might as well try a werner bent shaft. Thats what i have and i love it.
