5'10" using a 194 powerhouse for 4 years now. I'm also using a 45 degree and wouldn't choose anything else. I agree about the amt of purchase you will get (large), but if you're staying under class II for awhile you should be fine.

History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it.

It's the first real kayak paddle I've ever used, but so far I'm impressed. I haven't had it in running water yet, but yesterday we were on the lake and there were 2' swells and it was whitecapping around the sandbars, it handled that like a champ.

I've paddled pirogue's, canoes and jon boats all my life, using two blade and plain paddles, this one by far has the best catch and doesn't hardly fluddder at all as long as you keep control throught the stroke.
