gotta throw in my 2cents...
i've done a grand trip and just got off the salt with ray at tuff river stuff. his personal rig is intense.
he's a great dude and puts great pride in his product. he'll work with you to make sure you get what you really need. he's been making alot of the stuff he sells regularly for a long time, so for stuff like the everything bag, he already know's what dimensions you need just based off what your boat is. the materials he's using are as bomber as i've seen.. it's a cinch line around the top of the bag to close it. no zipper or series of cam straps. you can stack it high and still close it tight
things like drop bags tend to be pretty custom, but he definitely makes them work.
I've seen the cascade bags. from what i saw they kinda were just mesh covers to cover your existing gear pile. seems like more straps and more work than it's worth. the everything bag makes it all way easier. the bag hangs from it's own straps running to your frame or your boat's d-rings, and it's set up so the bag still hangs a few inches above your floor... = no beavertail in the back.
either way you get what you pay for. ray's stuff's not the cheapest, but it's quality and that's what counts in my book.
--to the OP, you're close to salida. if you're thinking about dropping that much money on your rig, drive up there and talk to ray in person.....
and here it is ladies and gentlemen. the biggest little idea in all of the rafting world......(drumroll)..... D-RINGS ON CAM STRAPS!!!!! (look it up)
end shameless plug now.....
