Hi I've been really been wanting to get into whitewater for a while. I'm looking for help on boat choice as well as accessories on a poor college student budget. For boat size, I am a skinny 6'1 160lb male. If anyone has suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

See the gear swap and check out the used boats. You have pool time I think in Fort Collins, go to it and see about demoing some boats. Check out your local shop and see if they have demos.
