Five Ten | Water Tennie

These look sick. Anyone have experience with the old water tennies? Or info on these new ones?

They look heavy, stout, but heavy... that is a lot of rubber for a river shoe. 5.10 is a company based on the "sole" of a shoe. I like the looks of the Keen Gorge boot.!rust

Nope, you incorrect on the weight. They are very light. Lighter than my Patagonia Playboots. With a 5.10 sole and a streamline non-velcro upper cuff. Check 'em out when the season starts up. They should be in stock in a few weeks. As with any shoe you need to try them on and dial in whatever companies product into your foot and personal requirements/ needs.
I love to dance, but who needs the music- It throws me off.

Keen does a great job of supporting kayakers and kayaking events and for that I'm very thankful. Their creeking booties stay on well and are durable, but the traction sucks. I wish their shoes were half as good as their support for the kayaking community.

That being said, I'm super excited about the new 5.10! My money is in the mail.

Where can we get these. I had the old 5.10 tennies and they were by far the best shoe ever. I have a pair of keen booties (forgot the name) and the shoe is good, but the traction and the sole sucks for walking on rough terrain. I can't wait for the new 5.10's. I have been looking for the old Patagonia play booties too, but can't find them. Finally good booties again.

Why do they stop at a size 12? Other 5.10 models are offered in a 13. No love for sasquatch boaters?

Beware of Palm right now. Dealing with a drysuit delam and they have stopped contracting with their US public relations MTI. Now all returns, questions, and warranties have to go all the way back to the UK for inspections. Lot of extra time and postage.
