Need some input on boat and paddle

To start off I'm 5'8 137lbs. My question is I bought a 2008 Pyranha Rev S as my first kayak (was that a good idea?) and also the recommended paddle for me was 194cm would a 198cm be that big of a difference for me? Thanks!
