Those look like they have a lot of kick. Reminds me of SOTAR Legend or Maravia Wave Destroyer tubes a bit. How do they handle?

The one I oared for a couple of hours a 14' cat didn't handle anything like my Legend. Handled more like a conventional cat, but could been the frame. They're actually pretty good boats though, the owner has put a lot of river miles on the boat the last several years and has had zero problems. Costs are about a third or so of a brand new Sotar. Probably more then adequate for most.

Older model maxxon tubes. The newer ones don't have that kick

Older style Maxxon (pre 2008?)

I had one just like that, got 1000s of miles and plenty of IV/V in it. Fun boat. Oddly enough all my boats since have been 'ugly gray'

Thanks all - Bidding is now closed... I think we have concensus

Fyi this may be a contrestant for the worst deal thread. A buddy found it online recently for $1200 or so (no trailer). I saw maxxon 16' tubes for about $800 new and a similar frame for about $350. So for a whopping $50 savings he'd get pre 2008 glued pvc tubes, frame, seat and oars (not including the ga$$ to go get it).
