Diesel, too.

cbrobin --

Sounds like even the Diesel is something you should consider. It can be used for Bailey and Clear Creak of the Ark with no problem, and excels at river running on the Ark. Also, consider the Pyranha M3 or maybe even their new Ammo is cool, too. Anyhow, generally there are used Diesels, M3s, Nomads, and Jefes available if you're not buying new. I like my Diesel, though I'd say the new Habitat looks like the hot ticket for creekin' for sure. Surely the Jefe, Nomad, and M3 all rank there, too. They're all good. Any of them would not be a poor choice for you.

Cheers!

Diesel, Nomad and Bliss-Stick Huka. Give each one a roll in a pool this winter. My better half loves her Huka.

what the? Sorry, all!

What the heck? Sorry, I didn't realize it was posting repeatedly. I was getting error diversions to "Web page not found" each time. Again, sorry for the multiple post. I hadn't realize at the time.

KV, Its ok. He was just giving you a hard time. Ok, I will throw into this. Pick from this list for your size. Burn, Diesel, Mamba, Nomad and yet to be reviewd the Habitat. I list them from the boat with the most chines to the least.
I think quite a bit of searching for a boat is finding a boat that works for your size and weight. Demo for sure but you are going to fall a little between the large and small sizes on a lot of these boats except for the Diesel. I think you will be the perfect size for the large diesel. Get in one and try it out. It seemed to roll easy to me.

I've paddled the Burn, Mamba, and Nomad and thought the Nomad was the easiest to roll but didn't have a problem with any of them. As far as performance, I love the Burn but personally I want a true creeker without the flat hull of the Burn. It sounds like this would be okay for the runs you're talking about, though. I think the Mamba is okay but the Nomad does everything the Mamba does better. Nomad's my choice.

Many thanks for the responses.

Here's my list of boats to consider:
Nomad
Rocker
Diesel
Habitat
Huka
Burn
In no particular order.

I think I have access to a Diesel. Greg is that what you sold Gordon?

As for the others I'll have to ask around my club.

stof-don't respond if you don't read the post.

Full dislclosure: I've only swum three times in the last 8 years.

I may try the Jefe again. I am not someone who wants to fiddle a lot with my boat to get it "dialed in" though.

Again thanks.

Rigomortis woman-lets look at it next year.
