Hey folks!

Been a while... Heh. I didn't want to bother you guys with a new thread, but I did think some of you may get a hoot out of how far the raft has come with us since last we spoke...

While Baby (yes, I named the raft "Baby") does need a new valve due to a VERY slow leak in one of the connecting tubes (not noticeable unless left over night), she's held up remarkably well otherwise. Shredders are incredible...

I can even almost paddle in a straight line, now. Almost.

Update: A friend of mine REALLY wanted to try making a frame himself, and that SO didn't work...

Riverboat Works: I may well be calling on you in the near future. Somewhat related, I pointed someone else to you looking for the exact same thing for their shredder, so I may not be the only one calling on you. Though after rowing a time or three more in the Potomac, I am seeing why the thing may be better SANS motor, and with me just strengthening my arms significantly.

No footage on the water as of yet, but in theory, our GoPro arrives tomorrow (Yay waterproof HD camera!). So, I look forward to showing off my first impressive shredding in the appropriate use of the raft... As soon as I pull one off.

In the meantime; Did you know that you CAN use a rubber raft in a fire stunt, if you keep it a good 8 feet away? It was actually too far away - I hit rather hard - but the safety of the Shredder was paramount! I, after all, heal myself.
