I've used Scat Packers for twenty years, everywhere except Grand Canyon, where plastic buckets are not allowed. Mine did come with an RV dump lid, fitted with the 3" hose and the water connection, but I haven't used it since the Forest Service started installing Scat Machines at the take-outs.
The RV dump system didn't work all that well. Once at the end of a Selway trip, we hooked up the hoses, turned on the water and . . . nothing came out. Then the lid started to bulge. We all ran for cover. Nobody wanted to get close enough to turn off the water, because if that sucker blew, it was going to be ugly!
The problem was that the bad stuff was too solid. Maybe we needed to put in more water, but then we'd have needed more buckets. We ended up with a log jam (so to speak) at the outlet. Some fool finally did sneak up on it and turn the water off.
We ended up taking off the lid and just upending the bucket in the swale around the RV dump drain, and then hosing it down. It worked fine, if you like getting re-acquainted with old turds you thought you'd never see again.
