I drive a Jetta. The moped of the chick car world. Shit- I can't believe I posted that in a truck thread. Although it IS the first non-truck I've ever owned.

We import the majority of our oil from Canada and regardless of what type of vehicle you drive (with a few exceptions) they still use gas. American car companies make fuel efficient vehicles too, and if we are looking at recent productions, don't start yapping about Toyota quality. I haven't seen any Chevys or Fords failing to stop and killing people. Where were Japan's donations to help us with the gulf oil spill, hurricane Katrina, or the recent tornadoes in the South? Yet, who was first on scene to provide aid during their earthquakes. That's the problem with our foreign policy. It should be a two way street and it is far from it.

I know that is a weird idiosyncrasy with Titans: you get the crew cab but then get a short bed, or the king cab and get a longer bed.

I have a king cab, partially because it's 10k cheaper (or more), but also because I wanted a longer bed. While the back row in the cab isn't overly spacious, I've had three people back there for long trips and they really never complained.

Apparently, that particular model has been having a bunch of issues though.
I haven't really followed Titan in the last 2 years, and I know there was some controversy with them moving to Dodge, but the older Titans (pre 200 always had solid reviews and solid resale.

I have nothing but great things to say about my Titan (2007), other than the gas mileage really depends on you much of a lead foot you have (I can get anywhere from 11mph to 17mph, depending on how I drive it). A V8, 5.6 Litre truck will do that, though.

My only complaint about the Titan thus far is that I can't tow a 5th wheeler if I wanted to (but again, I know that buying this size of truck).
