I guess I don't see why if you like a product, and there is nothing wrong with it, why you would need to get rid of it or replace it.
The whitewater kayaking market isn't all that big, I know that LL has a good market share with the Jefe. But I have a hard time thinking they have a 5 to 1 or even 3 to 1 advantage over the Nomad. Looking at boats on the water I'd say the Jefe has a 2 to 1 over Nomad. Throw the Burn in there and I think it goes head to head with the Jefe. Both on the water and in the swap.
They are all good boats for one reason or another, DEMO, DEMO, DEMO!
Far from scientific, but when I talked to the guys at Confluence about creek boats recently they said that since the Jefe came out, it has been by far the best selling creek boat for them.
I agree with freeXbiker. You see more because there are more.
Jefe is a great boat with a few quirks. I like my new Villian S a lot, but if LL made the Jefe in Crosslink, my decision would have been a lot harder this summer.
Based on our unscientific poll, Jackson may be starting to grab the creeker market.
