Two sizes, 8'2" at 80 gallons and 8'6" at 90 gallons. And yep, both sizes now have XL cockpits for easier access to gear and easier entry/exit.
The hull is flat, it's as much of a planning hull as you will see on a creek boat with a great edge for catching eddies higher up. Essentially the best way I can describe it when comparing it to the Remix and Jefe series is this;
It is loose (quick turning) like the jefe with a very forgiving bow rocker profile, but it has the speed and acceleration of the Remix. Personally, I think it's faster than the Remix is and Adrienne thinks so too.
Also, it's worth noting that the seat has been changed. The backband swings out of the way for access to the stern and the seat is lower in the boat making it more stable. This will be a change in every model including the Remix and Jefe series meaning the Remix now has a bomber creek seat for 2012!
I've been paddling the Stomper 90 now most of the summer and it is def my new favorite boat. I weigh in around 180ish. The 90 feels bigger than my Grande but I quickly got used to the larger size and enjoy the volume, even on smaller creeks. Sitting lower gives you a different kind of leverage and the initial stability is crazy good.
They'll be shipping here next week so make sure you get out try it for yourself.
