LL Jefe for lighter folks?

Just looking for some thoughts on the Jefe for ~150-155 lbs (sans gear) weight. Advantages? Disadvantages? In general wondering what people have to say about running creekboats on the lower end of the recommended weight range.

Bonus question - any thoughts on riding a Jefe out of a hole? I was goofing around in one and thought it was especially tough to get that boat to catch on anything to push it out (I mean I know this is a creekboat characteristic, just thought this guy was esp. difficult). But then maybe it's just my lackluster hole exiting skills. Thanks.

I weigh about 155 and love my Jefe. I carry a break down paddle, a first aid kit, a rope and a full nalgene all of the time. On overnights I have quit a bit more. I find the boat performs fine. It boofs especially well. I have been in a hole or two that I could not get out of... but I am not sure it was an issue with the boat

..

I missed most of the dang creeking season cause of my hesitancy to drop $400 for a micro 240. <kicks himself> Im a 150lb guy, whos pretty short and Im a competant paddler. Im having issues with new boats. The playboats all look like beachballs and creek boat designers have seen too many pontiac commercials (wider is better) .. Not only am I short, but I prefer to hold my own stability, thank you, having a narrower boat gives you finer control over the chine. That, and I really don't want to learn how not to bang my knuckles without hyperextending my shoulders. I really have not seen a new creek boat that I would be really stoked to paddle, they are all much wider than I would like.

I'm paddling a Jefe at 145lbs and on the whole like it a lot. Only downside is that it seems to sit a bit high in the water for me, and tends to go over pretty quickly. Nice combination of speed/turning/boofing/holding a line.

Thanks for the feedback folks. Did go with Jefe and doesn't seem to be too much boat for me at all. Agree with the comments above - they've struck a nice balance in handling characteristics. Also agree it seems to have less initial stability than I'm used to, and wants me to roll it a little different than I'm used to, but they're minor issues.
