Kudos to Jackson

Thanks to Adam Cross and Jackson Kayak. Took 7 working days to go from broken boat to new hull. Also looks like they rethought the thigh braces so they don't fall out when the weather is nice.
Anyways. Thanks

I broke my Jackson also..

Broke it the first day (not including the SALT trip) of 2008. Leif, Ben Stokebury (sp), and Mark Jackson himself was involved and top notch. Had a new boat in a couple of weeks.

I said it then and I will say it now.

I had a friend who had a terrible time getting any service out of WaveSport when his FAULTY EZG cracked. He went more than a whole season w/o a boat due to their poor custy-service. I said "I will never buy a WS boat because of that". Six months latter, I broke my 4-FUN, and it is a whole different story with Jackson. As long as they make a boat I fit into, and fit my needs I will buy theirs.. Heck, their custy service was so good, that alone might swing my decision...

Thanks all....

Jackson does good customer service

I broke my Super Hero through every fault of my own (rack came loose and dropped two boats), they sent me a new hull for very very cheap. Seth & Adam are great!!
And the Lord said, let there be whitewater. So on Friday, the 13th day of the month....

C-DUB - how did the shipping work out with the replacement boat? Did the store you bought it from eat the cost or did Jackson Kayak, or you?

I'm curious, cause I ended up paying shipping both ways on a paddle I returned directly to the manufacturer. Downside was that return shipping (from Canada) was 4x as much as the original shipping. I checked it out and both FedEx and UPS shipping for some dumb reason costs almost 4x as much from Canada to the US versus US to Canada. So I end up spending $100 (almost 1/3 the cost of the paddle new) just to have the manufacturer fix a problem caused by their manufacturing process.

The company was cool about fixing the paddle - but in regards to shipping, they stated had a store returned it - the store would have paid for the shipping both ways.

Unfortunately, I bought it from out of state (no CO dealers) and figured I'd save time and be "green" by returning it directly to the manufacturer, saving at least one leg of shipping.

Lesson Learned: I like the manufacturer's paddles enough (innovation/design) to keep buying them, but I won't buy another unless I can do it through a local shop. That way the shop can deal w/ the warranty expenses.

I dealt directly with Jackson. Sent some photos of the crack, the serial number, and where and when purchased and they mailed me the boat. I know after the one year point there are more costs involved in replacement, but I still don't think they nail you on the shipping.

I had an issue with my 4-fun and brought it back to Confluence and it was about 4 months or so over the 1 year warrenty. I had to pay for the new hull and shipping. Still not bad for a new boat they didn't have to do anything really! Would buy another in a heart beat actually would like a super hero!

Normal is a setting on your washing machine!
