Keep 'em boating - Kids pass it on thread.

Ok. So someone posted up looking for kids gear and the thread is now closed with the suggestion of moving it to Gear Swap.

So I looked at "Classifieds" to see if the OP had started a new thread since it wasn't "Moved" in the thread title.

In classifieds there really isn't even a category that would work for all around kids gear.

To the point: we need a Pass it On thread for kids gear. It doesn't even need to be stickied ( that pretty much means I glaze over it, cuz it's there all the time). when someone posts something new up, if it was in Gear Talk, it would go to the top of the threads. And personally now that I think about it. The format of the classifieds makes you look at several pages to see the same twenty to thirty listings you would get in a normal thread layout.

Maybe there should be a whole Trade thread where you can only charge shipping plus a swap of some kind.

AND...if you want a good gear swap. The OPs need to be able to add a SOLD to the initial listing that could be read in the preview rollover so you know if it's gone or not. Last thing. Hard to tell if the posters in Gear Sales are regulars or not. I have asked buyers questions about 15 times and received two replies cuz they don't hang here.

If you go to kayaks now 'Countinfish' has one for sale. Click on Profile. Nothing. Click on Stats - he has one ad viewed 99 times. I search members and find him and his profile shows join date 2008 and 1 post.
This doesn't tell me much, but it doesn't tell me that since he has been lurking since 2008, it is unlikely that he is a Nigerian spambot.

Long time lurker I guess but why can't his profile show his profile? It would make purchase easier. Or at least easier to know who you are dealing with.

But the whole reason I started this is: MTN BUZZ should not oppress the sharing of Kids Gear. Occupy Mtn Buzz.

[/rantongearsales] It's supposed to kind of funny. I failed.

Back to work.

Would be nice if the iphone app allowed you to see the gearswap pages

Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it "guaranteed", I will. I got spare time.
