Can't speak to Rogue. You would fit in either XP. I'm 6'2" 180# and opted for the 10. I demoed both. My feet (11) did not fit the 9 with Keens/Chacos (which was not a huge factor, but i do like to have fairly strong shoes to shift easily to walking/hiking). Could be personal preference for you. I am used to touring and sea kayaks, so the 10' seemd short and maneuverable to me -- though very wide. I opted for the 10 largely because I wanted the option of growing into big water and thought the extra volume might help. I bet whitewater boaters of your size would prefer the smaller -- unless they needed the storage for self-support multi-day trips. I do love the boat. The cockpit of the 10 is very large, so be careful to get a skirt that fits.

It might help if you say something about why you have narrowed it down to these two. What is your boating experience up to now, and how do you see it changing? What are you planning to do with this new boat -- stuff like that.
Just to add to my previous: I did add float bags to the front of my XP10 -- I'm used to front and rear bulkheads on touring/sea kayaks (or duckies that are all flotation!).

I work for a outfitter and have been in all of them.. If you want whitewater first .. Go with the xp ,pyranna fusions or the new wave sport that is doing out..
If you want flat water first go with rouge..
