Jackson All Star

I am “learning” play boater and over the last couple of years started to try other boats than my Disco. I just bought an S6:200 and I really like it so far for its play and river running qualities. I never got in a Jackson, but last night they had the All Star and the Super Star to demo, so I thought I would give one a go.

I got to tell you, I got in the All Star at the pool last night and I couldn't get out of it. Not trying to swim, I mean this boat was so fun that I demoed it for half the night. I was able to do some flat water tricks that I been working on for a while. It was easy to bow stall and link ends. I generally just had a blast in it. It's like the boats on auto pilot to play. It rolls super easy (I was even hitting my off side) and it was very comfy. The boat is really balanced and felt actually super stable for a short play boat. I convinced another guy to get in it and he was also impressed. I think down the road I will be adding one to my quiver.

I'm interested in trying out a Super Star. Where were you that they had these as demos? And for comparison purposes, what's your weight?

Confluence Kayaks has rentals of both the All Star and Super Star. We charge $15 for a same day rental. That means that you could take out the All Star in the morning and switch it out for the Super Star in the afternoon for no additional charge. Then if you decide you want to buy a kayak (doesn't matter which one) you get you rental charge refunded.

I love to dance, but who needs the music- It throws me off.
