ISO Used IK

I am trying to get my hands on a used tandem IK for up to class 3+. I haven't had any luck finding a good site that sells used IKs. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

If you haven't looked on craigslist already it might be hard to find a used one for a good price .....most shops that sell used ones are still $$$ and being a new one is not much more.....Tandem Tomcat is around the $775 new

Not sure if these places still have any or if they will ship but here you go

I got lucky and picked up 2 singles last year for $300 each including paddles and extras (found on craigslist). You don't see reasonably priced listings for IK's very often, and if you do you better bet they will be gone FAST.

The other way to find one (besides getting lucky) is getting an old commercial boat that probably isn't even worth the $300 they are asking.

Every once in a while a good CL deal comes along. Either be patient or buy a new Tomcat or Outlaw, those are about the best value boats in my mind. There are more boats in that price range, and they may be just as good, but those are the two best value price IK's IMHO.

Got my solo tomcat with gear for $375 on cl. Do a search so it brings in nearby areas and you'll get more results. Boats in great shape. For better gear be ready to pay more. Seems usual rate for good shape and moderately new is about 50% of purchase price. If you're going new for class 3, tomcat are a great deal.
