IR Double D vs. Stohlquist Amp Drysuit help?

I am trying to decide between the Immersion Research Double D and the Stohlquist Amp drysuits. From what I can tell they are pretty similar except for the placement of the entry zipper. They are also only $75 different which isn't that big of a deal when considering how much I will have to spend overall. Anyone have any experiences good or bad with either? Thanks in advance for the beta!

I have the IR Double D and absolutely love it. It is comfortable, quite dry and the rear entry is nice. My only caveat would be that for me (6'4" 185) the XL is the right height but a bit baggy.

The DD is the best! The rear entry zipper makes it much better.
I have the DD and an NRS Inversion and the DD is definitely much more comfortable and kept me dryer.

I owned a Stolquist drytop once upon a time- and not a cheap one either. It was bar none, the worst piece of paddling equipment I have ever owned. Might as well have paddled in a plastic bag. If you are going to sink big money in a drysuit, buy one from a reputable manufacturer, like IR...or Kokatat.

I also had bad experiences w/ Stolquist many years ago. Maybe they are better but I wouldn't buy again.

Don't have any experience w/ IR but Kokatat is awesome. Have both drytop and drysuit. You can send it in and for $20 they'll do comprehensive water test and patch any micro leaks. Use a drysuit enough and tiny leaks are inevitable.

Also Kokotat has reasonable price on gasket replacement. Have replaced myself years ago but it is a mess and not much less expensive than letting pros do it.
