Thanks everyone. Wish I could take credit for the idea of using those boxes, but I got it from Gary Strome's website. We do have some gnarly water here, but my rig will likely never see it. It belongs to the yakkers and canoeists because it's mostly confined to narrow creeks that only run when the water's up. I'm missing a D ring in a strategic spot so I can't really snug down the frame until I do some repair work. In my estimation that's a plus because I feel that's a procedure I need to learn before I take a trip. Thinking one of these NRS Pennel OrcaŽ 2" D-ring Patch along with some Clifton Hypalon glue and toluene will be the ticket (hypalon raft), right?

That should do it, have you checked out NRS's instructions on attaching them? They have a lot of good "how-to" info on their website.

While you're at it, consider putting a few more on. I don't know how many you have or whatever, but it takes almost no additional time to do more than one, because of wait time in the process. Perhaps handles also. Our first boat was an NRS Otter, and it was severely lacking in Drings and handles. For non-frame D rings the 1" ones work well too.

Yes ma'am, I've made liberal use of the NRS tutorial component. I'm a great lover of free instruction. I'll order that stuff and a K pump today. Your avatar reeeeeally makes me want to refer to you as Maria. I'll try to resist, but no promises.
