Thanks everyone. Wish I could take credit for the idea of using those boxes, but I got it from Gary Strome's website. We do have some gnarly water here, but my rig will likely never see it. It belongs to the yakkers and canoeists because it's mostly confined to narrow creeks that only run when the water's up. I'm missing a D ring in a strategic spot so I can't really snug down the frame until I do some repair work. In my estimation that's a plus because I feel that's a procedure I need to learn before I take a trip. Thinking one of these NRS Pennel OrcaŽ 2" D-ring Patch
