Huck vs Nomad
Having had both boats I'm going to have to say Nomad. Here's why: the Huck is the turniest kayak I have ever paddled. True, its boofabilty is good and when there's not much water and lots of thread -the-needle rocks it shines. However, add water and a pushy line and the bow will swing to and fro all over the desired line. Much like throwing darts when drinking, its sights swing all over the target. That said, its stable, somewhat speedy for its size, comfy, and will accomodate a bigger paddler than the 8.1 Nomad.
The gonad is a good boofer, is speedy, and holds a line. It's stable, comfy, and keeps its edges above the water nicely. With a semi flat bottom its nice if you're coming off a playboating streak and are used to cutting hard quick turns into eddies. Outfitting is solid, the throw lever backband makes entrance and egress easy and the multiple metal grab bars are nice too.
As others have said this is all personal opinion and one should demo both before buying. Good Luck - see you on the creek!
