How/where to store sprayskirt during winter

I am pretty new to kayaking and don't have a wetsuit or dry suit so I will probably not do much kayaking this winter. How and where should i store my spray skirt during the winter to keep it in good condition?

By "how" I mean: should I fold it, roll it, or just lay it out?
By "where" I mean: can I keep it in the garage where it is cold and damp or in the house where it is warm and dry?

Thanks for the help.

Also I plan on letting mine dry and hanging it up in a closet.

To add to Tango, in a frozen ball in your kayak in the back of your truck with the rest of your gear...

All my gear lives in a CKS mesh bag. It hangs in the laundry room to dry between paddling trips. My stuff gets funky stinky quick, so I try to dry it asap.

I hang all my gear In the shower to dry ( except the river boots... Those go straight to the back porch )
After dry they all get thrown in a mesh bag and stuffed in the closet.

But the wet ball in the bottom of the boat has happened on a few occasions.
