How well do river runners work on a creek?

How much harder is using a river runner, like the Hero or Diesel, on Gore or Bailey than using a real creeker? I know some people can do these runs in a play boat, but that's not me.

Christopher,

It really isn't harder or put it this way that is not the right question.

Gore is about perfect for most of the "Riverrunner" types for many reasons. It's really not a creek at all, although it does at times have a creeky feel.

You can turn riverrunners quicker into eddies generally (for sure with a Hero) as it has chines and assist in grabing currents. They are generally faster than creekers as well, so when you want to get around on the river a couple strokes in said direction and you get there sooner.

In my opinion, RR's are better in Gore than probably any other style boat. The Hero missed 2nd place at Gorefest (paddled by a non pro regular joe) by like 10/100's of a second or something very close to it....
