Skip the K-200 as a topoff pump. You need gorilla arms to do so while on the water if your valves are on the outside of your tubes.

The K-100 that Avatard mentioned is a better "packable" pump size...even if it is on the smallish side if your 12v inflator ever died!

I love my k40, That's the only pump I carry. But I've never had to inflate an empty tube with it.

I am a river, babe - I've got plenty of time, I don't know where I'm going, I'm just following the lines..... - "We are water" by Shaye

I'm a fan of the $35 Bravo Wonder Pump. I've had two of 'em over the last 15 years. The only maintenance I've ever done is squirting some sunscreen on the rings. They're cheap, simple, small, and last as long as any other pump I've seen. Heck, even after the first one's handle got broken off I was able to rig it with e-tape to work k-pump style.

are DRE's greaseless like carlsons? nothing sucks (or blows) worse than using an o-ring pump that really needs some grease. Except maybe for trying to fish streamers after inflating a 13'er with a k-pump. What do type of grease do yall NRS pump owners use, out of curiosity? call me paranoid, but I go this idea a few years ago that petroleum grease ending up inside your tubes could be a bad thing for glue/material? I really don't know if there is an issue, but I started using lithium grease a few years ago, seems to have really calmed me down and alleviated the issue.

I use cooking veggie oil. I go through all my gear in the winter and tune stuff up.
