GoPro Awesome customer service
Just wanted to give a shoutout to the guys over at GoPro for their awesome customer service. I've heard of companies in the paddling apparrel industry (Kokatat) having a strong backing for their products but this is the first time I've come across anyone in the electronics segment of extreme sports gear honoring their warranty.
I had purchased a GoPro three months ago and took it on a winter expedition up in the Himalayas,India. It was either the bitter cold or a faulty device but my GoPro just would not turn on. When I got back, I shot a mail to GoPro explaining the situation. Even though my camera was still uner warranty I offered monetary compensation (just because of the nature of the sport) to get my GoPro fixed. The customer service guy was super nice, knowledgeable and very quick to respond to communication. He replied saying that I would have to send in my camera for verification of the problem and if everything checks out right I would be covered. I just got my new GoPro in the mail today.
Being a college student, a camera is a significant investment of my money and I'm very glad I gave my money to GoPro. I will definitely buy from these guys again.
