I see a lot of people on here asking which boat, frame, oars, etc. to buy. I just purchased a 13' Aire Tributary and decided to have a frame and drybox built for it. I live in Albany Oregon so I decided to go with Recretec since they are local. My experience dealing with Timmy was great. He worked with me to come up with something that would fit my needs well and for a good price. I'm a pretty picky guy (maybe a bit of a perfectionist) and when I got my frame home and set my boat up, there were a couple of things that I wasn't happy with. Mostly fit and finish things but when you pay for something new you expect it to be right. I took it back to Timmy and showed him what I didn't like. He went out of his way (and probably above and beyond) to make it right. He changed everything I wanted free of charge and even upgraded a couple thing for me. Now I'm super happy with my setup and ready to hit the river. You don't get that type of customer service a lot these days so when it happens I think it's important to recognize it. I would recommend Recretec to anyone for anything. They do beautiful work and stand behind it.
