I'm looking into extending my frame. I have a 16' boat. I run my fame with, two drop bags in the first two compartment. They roughly are, 46" I have one piece of wood that covers both compartments, with two paco pads that go on top. Next is the captains spot. Then my cooler, which is my seat.
I usually ride with two rocket boxes (groover) in the captains area. But would like to replace with captain dryboxes. So I need a place to put the rocket boxes.
My frame is the aluminum pipe frame. Down river, I believe. I wanted to put them in a dropbag behind my cooler. So I need to extend it about 8" So I was thinking I could extend it by buying the longer outside pipes. Or make a small trailer fame for the rocket boxes. Does anyone have any other ideas for me?
I lost my drybox in a windstorm. It used to go in bay two. And now Im finding that I need more convenient dry storage. But I am loving my completely flat 4' x 7' front lounge/bed.
That wind storm blew my loaded boat, 150 feet up on shore, dumped the cooler and drybox at about 50 feet. The boat then continued on, hit a one foot diameter tree about 15' high. Cracked it, and brought the tree down. The raft, no damage! The yeti cooler, no damage! The frontier play drybox, crumpled no fixing it.
