I have a biased review (team fluid), which I'll just drop in here while we wait for an unbiased one to wander along.
I love that boat. It paddles a lot like a normal creekboat. There are some minor differences. It's a little wider, which gives it a little more primary stability, but then once it's up past a certain angle, it wants to go the rest of the way over. That angle is pretty steep, though, like more than 60 degrees on edge. I mostly noticed it when I was getting pretty aggressive with the edges. Also, it has a longer stern, so it doesn't boof quite as easy as a real creekboat, although it still boofs way easier than I had expected. And when you boof, if you miss your boof at all, and your nose dives, it re-surfaces a lot slower than a normal creekboat (because, I mean, come on, it's a sit on top, so it fills with water for a second). I've still run plenty of class V in it, but I wouldn't try to do any extreme races in it.
Have you emailed fluid? They might be able to point you to a local team paddler that has one to demo.
