Now here is the rest of the story. My maravia was toast, and I just didn't know it. Got it ready to go on a trip and the seams all around the thing started to come apart. I'd get one fixed, and the next one would fail. Failure after failure.....except for the floor with the flexane. That part was amazing. It was tough, it was secure, it was invincible. Had I know the rest of the boat was ready to turn to dust, I wouldn't have spent the money doing what I did.
But, the Avon is doing great. The flexane on that has given it a new life, and after a few river trips with it, it holds up very well. doesn't seem to wear much. Minor scratches at times, but so insignificant that it doesn't matter.
I can tell you that if I ever have a problem with the bottom of any of my rafts in the future, I won't hesitate to use the flexane.
