Fleece or Neoprene Shorts

Fleece lined or neoprene lined guide shorts?

I can get both at a deal, but I've never had either one.

What's better?

The fleece shorts are great. Super comfortable and they dry a little faster than the neo shorts. The Neo shorts keep you warmer and will not bleed through to the outer shorts. Both are great and if you can get a deal you might want to just get both. IR is an awesome company and you can never go wrong supporting them. You can do IR a real deal and tell all you guests how great your shorts are, what comes around goes around.

I love to dance, but who needs the music- It throws me off.

I have both and prefer the fleece. The neoprene seems to trap moisture against my skin and isn't as warm.

Many of the guys I guide with on the Poudre swear by those IR fleece lined shorts. Say it was the best fifty bucks they ever spent. I like a pair of regular board shorts over some hydroskin pants though. HS is comfy when it's dry..

It's like a boxers or briefs decision and since you cant really go commando it's a matter of preference. I have both and it seems the neoprene is much warmer. I wear the fleece only in my drysuit. Fleece shorts over hydroskin pants would be a good choice as another option.

Fleece are more comfortable but the neo have the above-the-waist part that is nice for backband chafing.

I've got both and I wear the fleece more because they feel like jammies. BUT, if you swim, they get heavy and I've had to swim after them a couple of times because they came right off. I've also worn my hydroskin shorts under the fleece ones if I just can't decide.
