I must be incredibly hard on shoes (I don't think so) because my Keen sandals only made it 3 months before the heel straps started falling apart. I did use them quite a bit for kayaking, etc but I'm sure not as much as many of you. So far I've had pretty good luck with the Teva Sunkosi 2. They're light but with good coverage for scrambling over sharp rocks. Decent traction for climbing. They dry pretty quickly too. This is my 3rd attempt in the last year for a creeking shoe and so far they're holding up. I got them at REI.

I love my 5.10's. Their soles beat any other shoe's grip when scouting.
