There is definitely something to be said for soft edges on a creek boat. I would say it's safer and more forgiving. The sharper edges make a boat higher performance, meaning it carves more precicely, and it tracks better, especially when on edge. The caveat, is that you can learn to make your paddle blade do everything a sharp edge can do and more. So then you get the benefits of the soft edge and the sharp edge. I think softer edge boats are definitely better for intermediate creek boater.

Burn. If softer than it used to be. The perfect combo of edge and forgiveness IMO.
