If you learned to kayak in a fuse or any playboatesk boat you'll probably enjoy a creek boat with a planning hull (flat bottom with edges). You'll find a creek boat with a planning hull will have similar performance and stablility to your fuse with the volume and length you need in a creek boat were as a displacement hull (round bottom no edges) will feel unstable and difficult to manuever.
My wife had paddled class 4 in an EZ for years and last season decided to move into a creek boat in order to try some harder stuff. I bought her a mamba (displacement) which she hated, a punk rocker (displacement) which she hated, an ammo (planning) which she liked but felt like hole bate, and finally a small burn (planning) which she loves. Try the small Burn, Hero, or Remix.
Also Kevin is right you won't regret keeping yur fuse.
