Crack (leak) in paddle shaft.

Hey whats up fellas? I recently had a swim, lost, and recovered my paddle. Upon recovery my paddle has a slight crack or pin hole. My paddle is now retaining a small amount of water inside the shaft.

My plan is to Drill the shaft, empty the water, and patch the hole that i drilled.

Does any one have any experience doing something like this, and can you recommend a type of epoxy or adhesive I should use to patch the paddle?
