I row a 14 X 24 Cat. I use the 66 inch NRS frame and 6 inch towers. I mostly row from a seat, occasionally from a dry box. I have 9 ft. oars. These are the oars I used on my previous 14 X 22 Cat. They work fine, but there are times in bigger water that I wish I had 9.5 footers. But that wish is not strong enough to buy new oars. As for the 6 inch towers.... I tried both, and found the 6 inch. more comfortable. But then I'm a 5'6" female boater, so that may skew things a bit.
