boarding the sand dunes

thousands have done it. It will invaraibly ruin your board so make sure you have an extra. IMO not worth the drive especially now that stuff is running! If you're in the area, it'll keep you entertained for an hour or so. Sand will enter you everwhere though.

It's something fun to do if you're heading to the dunes anyway, but I wouldn't make the trip just to do that. It's just something differnet and fun to do at least once. Take an old board and make sure you remove the wax from your board and spray the base down with pledge. If you don't, you won't slide very far.
